I think Joshua Tree is worth a visit. The scenery is incredible and I have some fantastic photographs from my visit. I stayed in a Yucca Valley motel after spending the day driving thru the park on the way to Las Vegas from San Diego. I thought the motels in Yucca Valley were a little pricey for the quality.
